SIRIUS ANIMAL RESCUE, Romania/UK, rescues and rehabilitate dogs/cats in Romania and rehomes them (in Romania and the UK). They also have a spay and neuter programme, helping street dogs/cats and owned dogs/cats (for people who can't afford it), to prevent the unwanted birth of puppies/kittens. SAR also helps to educate local people and runs volunteer days. On Sunday 14 February, they were called out to help with a dog that had been hit by a car and left for dead by the side of the road. They rushed to collect the dog and take it as an emergency to the vets to try and save her life. She has been named Valentine.

THE SANCTUARY ANGELS sent £300 to SAR towards Valentine's vet bills and care as part of their Spring Appeal 2021. Tracey at SAR said: "It's amazing, thank you. It's not often someone helps to fundraise independently and it's a god-send. Thank you, angels. It will be so helpful for our vet bills." We are delighted to hear that Valentine has now been adopted!
