The Kathmandu Animal Treatment Centre, Nepal

Updated: Oct 25

Following the recent flooding and landslides in Nepal, THE SANCTUARY ANGELS sent a £500 Angel Grant to The Kathmandu Animal Treatment Centre in Nepal (KAT Centre), a non-profit organisation established to promote animal welfare in Nepal..

KAT's founding principals are:

  1. To rescue and treat sick and injured animals living on the streets of Kathmandu.

  2. To lower the street dog (and cat) population by spaying and neutering.

  3. To reduce the incidence of rabies and other viruses through vaccination and education.

To promote animal welfare in the widest sense of the term.

Samuel Davies, of KAT, said this: "On behalf of all the staff and animals at KAT, future and present, I want to thank you for your trust and compassion. We’re using the money to clear the road that was blocked by the landslide and to rebuild our cancer unit."
