Carrying on the Veganuary theme for January 2025, The Sanctuary Angels sent their second £500 Angel Grant of the year to Horse and Farm Animal Sanctuary. Based in Wales, the vegan-run sanctuary offers a safe, loving home to abused, neglected, saved-from-slaughter animals from across the UK, bringing them into the welcoming surroundings of the sanctuary. The sanctuary has offered homes to a range of animals, and their goal is to save as many as possible.
Lisa, who runs the sanctuary, had this to say about her grant:
"Hi Amanda, thanks for the message and the extremely kind donation … just wow. The grant has come at exactly the right time as I need to buy stone to lay in the horses feed area because it’s getting a bit muddy now because of the amount of rain. I probably need about 30 ton of stone and machinery to spread it and roll it. So that is absolutely amazing."
